Ky. Counterfeiting Suspect Printed Money in Bedroom

A Louisville woman is facing counterfeiting charges after police said she was printing currency in her bedroom.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --

A Louisville woman is facing counterfeiting charges after police said she was printing currency in her bedroom.

According to arrest records, police executed a search warrant Friday at Heather D. Johnson's apartment in the 8200 block of Minors Lane.

Detectives said they observed fake U.S. currency being printed.

According to arrest records, Johnson, who also goes by the name Heather Little, told detectives that she was "trying to get it right" and admitted to spending some of her earlier efforts.

Detectives recovered a printer, paper, drug paraphernalia and $3,175 in counterfeit bills.

Johnson, 40, is charged with four counts of counterfeiting and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
