Lateral Hire or Post Certified

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a Patrol Vacancy. Applicants need to be at least 21 years of age; must be a U.S. Citizen; must possess a high school diploma or GED; have no felony convictions

Applications will be taken from only those who have either a current Nevada POST Category One Certificate or a Category One certificate from a State that Nevada recognizes.

Applicants who are not currently Nevada Peace Officers will be required to Pass a Physical Abilities test. All applicants will be required to take and pass: a written exam; an oral interview; and an extensive background investigation.
