Watch Delivery Robot Blow Through Taped-Off LAPD Crime Scene

Sept. 19, 2022
A bystander captured footage that has gone viral of a food delivery robot named Connie not letting a Los Angeles crime scene or yellow police tape stop it from making its drop-off rounds.

A food delivery robot didn't let LAPD officers and police tape get in the way of its drop-offs  last week, and a video of the excursion has gone viral.

Looking a bit like an oversize Imperial mouse droid from "Star Wars" (non-geeks, go here for reference), the food delivery robot named Connie came across a Los Angeles crime scene shortly before 9:45 a.m. during its rounds Sept. 13, USA Today reports. Officers had set up yellow police tape around the area of Hollywood High School for reports of an active shooter that turned out to be a hoax.

In a footage captured by a bystander, Connie pauses for a few seconds in front of the crime scene tape. But when the tape is lifted up, the robot continues to roll along to its eventual destination.
