Man arrested in Georgia in connection with Pflugerville shooting

Deputies along with the U.S. Marshal searched for Horton and located him in Rome, Georgia, officials said.

A man turned himself in Saturday, after police say he shot his ex-girlfriend twice at her home in Pflugerville.

Travis County Sheriff's deputies responded to the shooting at a home in the 19600 block of Wearyall Hill Lane near Kelly Lane and Texas 130 around 10:25 p.m. on July 28.

Evidence indicates that Horton was in her backyard and shot her through a window.

According to a press release, the woman told deputies she believed her ex-boyfriend, identified as Gregory Horton, shot her. She told police she has a protective order against him.

A witness also confirmed the shooter to be Horton.

Deputies along with the U.S. Marshal searched for Horton and located him in Rome, Georgia, officials said.

The investigation is still ongoing and Horton will be extradited.
