Auxiliary Rescue Unit

Foster Rescue Products has announced production of its new bulk breathing air option for the ARU-285 Auxiliary Rescue Unit.  Four DOT tanks, coupled with a booster pump and two-bottle refill station on the tongue, offer over 30 refills of 4500 psi SCBA bottles.  The Sierra booster pump can drain down the DOT tanks to as low as 500 psi, providing far more refills than can be obtained from a standard cascade system.  The unit pictured also contains other standard features, including hydraulic extrication tools, airbags, 1800 watts of scene lighting, compressed air for USAR applications, and 8,500 watts of electrical power.  Power options for the ARU include a 15 HP Kohler gasoline industrial engine, or a 30 HP 4 cylinder water-cooled diesel engine with up to a 20 KVA alternator.
