ArmourLite Watch Company is an American company based in Miami, Florida, that designs and manufactures Swiss tritium illuminated watches under the brands ArmourLite and Isobrite.
The Company was established in 2007 by Ashley Diener (left). Having spent over a decade in the watch industry working with other brands, Ashley realized that a need existed for a truly tough all-purpose tritium illuminated watch. This realization led Ashley to start the ArmourLite brand. Ashley’s first goal for ArmourLite was to tackle the vulnerability of traditional mineral watch crystals.
Through an exhaustive research and development process, Ashley and his team created a shatterproof crystal, which became known as Armourglass. With a lab-tested hardness of 6,000 Vickers, Armourglass far surpasses the strength and durability of traditional watch crystals. For comparison, most crystals have a hardness of only 700 Vickers. With this breakthrough, ArmourLite became the industry's first brand to combine shatterproof glass construction with tritium illumination.
With the success of ArmourLite, Ashley was inspired to continue to innovate and set new market standards. Thereafter, Ashley created the Isobrite brand as the first ever to offer Swiss T100 tritium illumination combined with ultra lightweight carbon fiber reinforced polycarbonate cases. Since then, Isobrite has become the market leader when it comes to affordable and ultra rugged T100 watches.
