PEAC (Palmtop Emergency Action for Chemicals), an easy to learn and use Descision Support software system designed to guide First Responders dealing with chemical, biological, explosive and radiological isotopes incidents. A great tool for anybody dealing with hazmat, weapons of mass destruction and terrorist acts. Application with database runs on either a hand-held Pocket PC or a desktop/laptops/Tablet PCs running Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP. Provides access to databases for chemical properties, respirator recommendations, chemical protective clothing, synonyms, and DOT ERG2004 response guidelines. If explosives are involved it will calculate appropriate stand-off distances based on amount of explosive material and over-pressurization level selected. If chemicals that produce toxic vapor clouds involved, it will predict evacation distances based on user input of meteorolgical conditions, surrounding terrain, size of container, type of release, and toxic level of concern.

Based on field scale chemical spills research at the Nevada Test Site, the Palmtop Emergency Action for Chemicals (PEAC) product was developed to provide decision support capabilities for first responders at CBRNE or hazmat incidents. The AristaTek software application and its associated databases reside on a handheld or laptop computer, providing first responders with access to critical information while on site. The application has a comprehensive database of TICs/TIMs and CBRNE agents integrated with computational tools that provide standoff distances or exclusion zones displayed on street maps. Such models and tools include a plume model for toxic vapor clouds, Explosion Calculator, Fireball Calculator, Gamma Dose Calculator, Fallout Radiation Calculator and Nuclear Detonation Calculator.
