Initial Testing Demonstrates Ease of Connectivity Plus Secure and Seamless Video Transmission Quality Using the xMax Network

SARASOTA, Fla.June 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- xG Technology, Inc. ("xG" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: XGTIXGTIW), a developer of wireless communications and spectrum sharing technologies, today announced it has begun collaborating with its Technology Alliance partner DirectView Holdings, Inc. ("DirectView") (OTC: DIRV), in beta testing of DirectView's innovative body-worn camera solution for law enforcement agencies. xG announced its agreement to integrate xMax private mobile broadband technology with the DirectView camera on April 27, 2015.

xG and DirectView conducted initial integration and testing of one of the first-received DirectView body-worn camera units last week at xG's central engineering facility in Sunrise, FL. Initial test results showed that DirectView's camera hardware was easily recognized by the xMax system, and that video transmissions were seamlessly supported over the xMax network.

Tim Moynihan, Vice President of Sales at xG Technology, said, "As expected, the native IP design of the xMax system allowed it to quickly initiate and maintain flawless connectivity with the DirectView camera, and to successfully carry video transmissions over the xMax network. We see our patented xMax wireless mobile broadband system as a key requirement for public safety agencies. Having real time situational awareness through body cameras will change the paradigm for law enforcement. However, it will require a dedicated network that is always available and highly secure—which is exactly what xMax delivers."

He continued, "We look forward to working closely with DirectView during the beta phase of product testing and into full field evaluations with interested law enforcement agencies. Our collaboration with DirectView, coupled with our other recently-announced Technology Alliance agreements with Drakontas and Radio IP, underscore xG's commitment to growing an ecosystem of best of breed applications that offer real value to prospects in law enforcement, emergency management, military and other markets."

Roger Ralston, CEO and Board Chairman of DirectView, said, "We are pleased to report the successful testing and integration of the xMax platform with our innovative body-worn camera solution. We look forward to broadening our relationship with xG and expanding our beta program to eventually provide field testing of the consolidated xMax/DirectView solution to the numerous law enforcement agencies that will benefit from this advanced technology offering."
