FormStream Mobile Field Reporting Software

Aug. 30, 2007

The Boulder, Colorado-based company’s FormStream Mobile Field Reporting Software allows agencies to create, edit and manage customized reports. Field officers can create electronic versions of their paper reports, and can include an unlimited number of sections (such as vehicles, witness, suspects, etc.) or pages (tow slip, citation, so on) as needed.

FormStream features a "store and forward" thin client, rather than relying on continuous network connectivity or Web access, allowing officers to work on the report even when a data network is unavailable (reports are automatically forwarded to the next step in their route when a network becomes available), explains Karla Gravert, director of marketing for Patron.

Data can be collected from any third-party source — such as magnetic card swipes/barcode readers, mobile dispatch data, mobile queries, NCIC or state queries, digital pens and others — and automatically inserted into pre-configured fields, eliminating data entry. Data can be exported to designated parties within or outside the agency via secure e-mail or as custom interfaces to the system, says Gravert.

FormStream integrates with existing systems and is compatible with all major RMS and CAD systems.
