For large-scale investigations as well as for local investigations, links discovered using Investigators' Desktop can be mapped between thousands of clues from numerous disparate data sources. In total, the new software from Xanalys will give corporate fraud investigators, public law enforcement and terrorist investigators the ability to:
- Gather and organize structured and unstructured information from multiple sources such as phone logs, e-mail messages, word processing documents, invoices, external and internal applications and databases, and web services.
- Structure and manage information so phone calls can be automatically linked to people, addresses to emails and invoices, tying together many levels of interaction between criminals involved in fraud, terrorism and other illegal activities.
- Enable information mapping and sharing among many types of computer systems across geographical and technical boundaries that have, in the past, caused critical investigation information to remain unused.
