The ARD300 decodes APCO P25 voice signals as well as dPMR, NXDN, Icom D-Star, Digital CR, Yaesu, Kenwood and Alinco EJ-47U digital signals. It also improves the readability of existing analog narrowband FM signals. The ARD300 Multi-Mode Decoder is designed to convert digital voice signals into conventional audio and works with existing receivers having a 10.7 MHz or 45.05 MHz IF output.
The ARD300 can be used with AOR ‘legacy” receivers such as the AR8600 MK2, AR5000(A/+3) and newer models such as the AR2300, AR5001D, AR6000 and with factory modification, the AR8200MK3 hand-held receiver. It is also usable with many other manufacturer’s receivers that have a wide-band IF output of 10.7 MHz or 45.05 MHz, however, AOR limits support of the ARD300 for use with AOR receivers.
The ARD300 uses the higher bandwidth of the IF signal and converts the digital signals, making them audible through an internal or optional external speaker.
