Interoperable communications system

Feb. 18, 2010

Raytheon is providing an interoperable communications system that incorporates both hardware (much of it COTS) and software that addresses the need of first responders from different groups to be able to communicate with each other in the event of a crisis or disaster. And the demonstration unit is a "real live" interactive demo where first responders can bring their radios and test out the interoperable system first hand. There have been alot of promises of interoperability, and Raytheon wanted to be able to provide the "hands on" proof of an interoperable communications system to the law enforcement community nationwide.
