Deputy Struck By Vehicle Passes from Injuries

Forsyth County (NC) Sheriff's Deputy John T. Isenhour passed away during the evening of September 28th, as a result of injuries incurred when he was struck by a motor vehicle on September 18th.

Winston-Salem, North Carolina: On September 18th, 2016, Deputy Sheriff John Isenhour was struck by a vehicle at the entrance to Tanglewood Park on Clemmons Road at approximately 10 a.m. while he was working at an annual cycling event. Deputy Isenhour was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he was treated and remained in critical condition.  We have the sad duty of reporting that Deputy Isenhour succumbed to his injuries during the evening of September 28th, 2016, ten days after the accident.

Deputy Isenhour had served with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office for eleven months and was a 17-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife and children. Funeral arrangements are pending.
