Brian Harvin is a retired Special Agent Senior with 35 years of experience in crime scene investigation and training. He now serves as a Field Application Engineer at FARO Technologies, where he trains public safety personnel nationwide in 3D laser scanning and drone photogrammetry for documenting crash, crime, and fire scenes. Harvin is also a decorated Coast Guard veteran and a summa cum laude graduate of Jacksonville State University.

Brenda Butler is the Manager of the Public Safety Team of Experts at FARO Technologies, where she leads a team of seasoned professionals focused on advancing 3D laser scanning solutions for law enforcement, crime scene reconstruction, and public safety applications. In addition to her leadership role, Brenda also serves as a Public Safety Forensics Consultant for FARO, providing expert guidance on the application of 3D laser scanning technology in crime scene investigations and courtroom presentations. With over two decades of experience in law enforcement, Brenda is a nationally recognized expert in crime scene investigation and reconstruction, 3D laser scanning, bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA), and shooting incident reconstruction (SIR). As a former police officer in Ohio and a crime scene investigator for over 20 years, Brenda has processed countless homicide scenes, officer-involved critical incidents, and shooting investigations. Her expertise has led to testimony in high-profile cases across the country. She also brings a distinguished background in public service, having served as a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army. Brenda is a Certified Crime Scene Analyst through the International Association for Identification and has played a pivotal role in training law enforcement professionals, private investigators, and attorneys worldwide. Her extensive field experience, combined with her commitment to education and forensic excellence, makes her a trusted authority in crime scene investigation and forensic consulting.
