'Thin Blue Line Across America' Motorcycle Ride Commemorates Law Enforcement

One-of-a-Kind Custom Indian Chieftain Motorcycle to be Auctioned off with Proceeds Supporting Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)

MINNEAPOLIS – Each year, more than 150 officers die in the line of duty. The term “Thin Blue Line” was developed in support for those who protect their communities. Thus, Thin Blue Line has grown to become an endearing tribute to commemorate the fallen.

The journey began Sunday, March 3 and ends this Saturday, March 9, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The “Thin Blue Line Across America” is a cross-country motorcycle ride benefitting Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), an organization striving to raise awareness and resources for members and families of law enforcement who have lost their lives in the line of duty. A team of riders, including Lloyd Greer of Lloydz Motor Workz and Indian Motorcycle Charlotte, Tim Sutherland of Indian Motorcycle Charlotte and Coastal Indian Motorcycle of Myrtle Beach, ACM & CMA award-winning country musician Keifer Thompson of the band Thompson Square,
and Steve Lita of American Iron Magazine, will ride four customized Indian motorcycles from California to Florida, stopping at select locations and memorials to pay tribute to fallen officers across the country.

“Each and every year we ride down to Daytona Bike Week. This year, we wanted to make a real impact and create awareness and raise money for C.O.P.S.,” said Greer. “Collectively, we’ve built and customized hundreds of motorcycles in all our years. This one, the ‘Thin Blue Line’ Indian Chieftain is special. We’re excited to show it off to the world and raise money for an incredible cause.”

The Thin Blue Line 2019 Indian Chieftain, customized by Lloydz Motor Workz, beefs up the stock bike’s already impressive performance with aftermarket upgrades, including Lloydz Motor Workz’s Supercharger Package and 558 cams, a Rhinehart slip-on exhaust, as well as upgraded connecting rods. An Arnott Air Ride suspention provides a plush ride, while a 1901 Customs Tour Pack adds additional storage. Finally, the custom Thin Blue Line-inspiried paint scheme honors law enforcement officials around the country.

The six-day cross-country trek will span over 2,500 miles beginning in San Diego, Calif. and travel east through the southern half of the country before reaching its final destination in Daytona Beach, Fla. at the legendary Daytona Bike Week.

Following Daytona Bike Week, the Thin Blue Line custom Indian Chieftain will make its way north to Washington D.C. to be on display at the National Law Enforcement Museum during National Police Week starting Sunday, May 12. Once it’s tour is complete, the custom Indian Chieftain will be put up for auction with all proceeds benefiting C.O.P.S.
