CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio
--
Cleveland Heights police said they arrested two 16-year-olds after they led officers on a chase Tuesday morning.
Police said an officer observed a car running a stop sign just before 9 a.m. and after running the plates discovered it was a stolen car.
Police said they attempted to stop the car but the driver then took off, leading police down multiple streets.
The stolen car struck two police cruisers after officers put up road blocks, police said. One officer was taken to Hillcrest Hospital with a back injury.
The chase came to an end after the stolen vehicle smashed into a dump truck. The teen suspects were not injured.
Both teens are students at Cleveland Heights High School.
