MIAMI
--
Family and friends spoke out Saturday, pleading for help in finding the killer of 61-year old retired Miami Police Captain Robert Yee.
"This was my father, he helped many people as a police officer and now its our turn to help him," said Officer Debbie Guzman, Yee's daughter, who became a cop after being inspired by her father.
"Anyone who will say anything, please, we need your help," Yee's widow, Marisel told reporters through tears.
Yee was gunned down at 12:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon at Hurricane Cove Marina in Miami.
Robert Vinas, co-owner of the marina, said he hired Yee to pretty much run the place. Hurricane Cove is offering $10,000 to anyone who helps police find Yee's killer.
"The marina is putting up this money. I hired this man to watch the marina and keep it safe and now he's dead because of it. We need to find him," an emotional Vinas said Saturday afternoon.
Police are not releasing much information at this point but say they're looking for a white man who may be bald and has facial hair. Detectives say he was driving a late model Toyota Carolla. Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
