POMPANO BEACH, Fla. --

A Lauderhill man accused of operating a "chop shop" dealing in parts of stolen cars faces several felony charges.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, on Monday, a deputy spotted 22-year-old Delano Henry driving a stolen Subaru from Oakland Park to a warehouse in Pompano Beach.

Deputies searched the warehouse, where they found several vehicles, all of which had been reported stolen in South Florida in the past year, according to BSO. Police said detectives also found pieces of foreign luxury sports cars, tools used to dismantle vehicles and a semi-automatic handgun during their investigation.

Investigators said they believe Henry was operating the shop for at least a year and did not work alone.

Henry faces several felony charges, including operating a chop shop, grand theft, grand theft auto, possession of alter motor vehicle components and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
