Officer, K-9 Come Under Fire at Florida Park

ORLANDO, Fla. --

A search continues Wednesday after a K-9 officer and his dog came under fire at an Orlando park, police said.

VIDEO: Shots Fired At Officer, K-9

Orlando police said the on-duty officer was exercising the K-9 at about 2:45 a.m. at Trotters Park, located at 1905 Lee Road, when someone shot at him and the dog.

The officer took cover and returned fire, Orlando police said.

During a search, several shell casings were located, police said.

A search for the culprit is ongoing, but Trotters Park has been reopened.

Roadways near the park, including Lee Road, Orange Blossom Trail and Edgewater Drive, were blocked off after the shooting, but the police perimiter has been scaled back.

No one was injured in the shooting.

all the same whoever it was has an issue with cops.... and i pray gets caught soon... danger to society and should be charged with stupidity as well

I can atleast sort of rationalize why someone attempting to get away from a cop would shoot, but for sport? We are a monster you don't want to wake.
