Obama Security Strains Chicago Force

This is wrong. Obama is the one who bashed the police in his campaign in a public blog. The police are now protecting him on a LOW budget. Is this cutting down on service in some areas? It's surprising how people who hate the cops seem to call on them when they need them. Why can't the Secret Service handle the security job? They seem to have done so well escorting a variety of different presidents on different occasions. I'd like to know how he came to be president-elect.

there talking about the security, every election this happens but b/c it's obama now it's a news story..if mccain would have won the same thing would happen in whatever place he's from in AZ

Why in hell is the FOP President discussing numbers in a security detail? That type of information is not suppose to go out to the general public! Numbers of bodies in an operation should never be discussed outside the rank and file.

If Obama continued to raise such huge amounts of money in his final weeks of campaigning, and continues today to raise money during the transition, there shouldn't be an issue with "spreading the wealth around" and reimbursing the city of Chicago for the extra expenses during the transition. I'm not sayiing it shouldn't happen; I'm just saying it makes sense for him to make a statement now that he will "walk the talk" and offer to use some of his excess to help a city in need.
