Since the America's Most Wanted All-Star program began in 2005 a law enforcement officer has been voted as the Grand Prize winner.
The annual contest also is open to members of the fire service and EMS personnel. The three finalists who have already been announced -- out of a pool that will eventually include eight nominees -- are with police departments or sheriff's offices.
There is still time to vote for an officer or nominate one from your department. The deadline is April 1.
The weekly voting that will determine the eight finalists will conclude on April 11 at 11:59 p.m. and the All-Star voting period will begin at 12 a.m. on April 15 and end at 11:59 p.m. on May 3.
The first responder voted as the top AMW All-Star will receive $10,000, spend a day with John Walsh, the show's creator and host, and is honored at the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Challenge on May 22 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.
