LINCOLN, Neb.
--
A Lincoln police officer is credited with saving the life earlier this week of a 39-year-old man who had stopped breathing.
Officer Scott Parker said he quickly started doing compressions on the victim's chest. He had the victim's friend aid in mouth-to-mouth breathing. Parker continued after paramedics showed up and they were able to resuscitate the victim.
Parker said he felt honored he could help out.
"Be there at the right time and be presented with a situation link that? I don't think there's anything greater than being able to bring back a human life," Parker said.
The victim was taken to a Lincoln hospital in critical condition.
