An inmate from Milwaukee County House of Corrections is on the loose.
The inmate escaped from an officer who was taking him to a doctor's appointment at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center.
Police have set up a perimeter to find the prisoner, who is wearing an orange jumpsuit and waistchain. Milwaukee police said he was able to free himself from his leg irons. He may now be wearing a grey or white t-shirt.
Police said the man fled from the corrections officer shortly before 11 a.m. this morning. He fled in the area of 2900 W. Kinnickinnic River Parkway.
Police said they are searching the area and are trying to get a K-9 unit to the area.
