Thanks for another blackeye Mr. former Chief. You hurt all of us who wear a badge. Sold out over that small amount of $$$. STUPID!

The entire town board needs to be investigated. Why did the town board authorize the purchase of sixteen rifles for two full time and five part time police officers? Didnt anyone see something wrong with the purchase in the first place? Unless this little town police department is on the Gaza Strip there is no need for that many rifles.

Pathetic! I also agree with Dan. There is more culpability than just the chief.

Even though he was only armed with a highschool diploma, I guess preparing a budget, dealing with unions, scheduling vacations, handling sick call ins and establishing a shift relief factor drove him to become suicidal.

Don't worry City of Holland, the Sheriffs Department will pick up the slack.

Both the FBI and the ACLU have been contacted about this case and have failed to do their jobs.

I am a medical marijuana patient and activist. I lived in Holland in 2003 and Kevin Gleason and his friends tried to shut me up by setting me up for selling pot (claimed three buys in an affidavit-used that and newspaper clippings and a letter to the editor I wrote as "evidence" to get warrant) this led to a swat type raid on my children and grandchildren while I was one day out of surgery.

Long story short- I was in the hospital when they claimed I made the sales, I was never charged and all charges brought against my wife and daughter were dismissed. This led to a civil suite that was blocked and dismissed by a lower court judge Ponsor. I could not afford to continue the case to appeal at a projected cost of another $17,000.00 and Holland town lawyers and the Judge helped to cover Gleason's crimes. The C.I #62 they claimed to have either does not exist or is a Michael Zelonis who was arrested on my Holland property on Oct 30, 2002 for various charges. He was being allowed to take wood from my property, and my wife and I were away when he was arrested. This person was in jail when the police claimed they sat at the bottom of my driveway three nights with an informant.

I have tried to get both the FBI and the ACLU involved in this case. Now more of Gleason's crimes are coming to light, you may want to help me out by reposting this story or if you are connected with any news media, you may want to contact me and write a story on this with your own spin on the case. I want to get the word out about Gleason and that I am trying to get the FBI (I do have a tip # 2262295 assigned to Gleason by FBI.GOV) and the ACLU (They said they would look into it when all criminal charges were dismissed but have failed to do so, I have contacted them many times.) to look at this case.

A bit more publicity on this story may spur them to action.

As you can see from my last comment I have many bones to pick with X-Chief Kevin P. Gleason. But even looking at this jail term he has just recieved for, among all his other crimes, GUN SALES?

Doesn't that fall under Federal Law?

Isn't it something like ten years federal time for each weapon?

As to the question asked by Masachusetts Po Po on my creditability, I have to quess it's better than Kevin P. Gleason's because he's going to jail tomorrow.

The reason the police refused to supply the name of their C.I. #62 listed in the affidavit is because it is Michael Zelonis, a person arrested on my property on Oct 30, 2002. He was in jail when the police claimed he was at the bottom of my driveway with them. That is perjury.

If the police had what they claimed in their affidavit, I would be in jail...

Today a bad man goes to jail... Kevin P Gleason is going away today for the next two years because he illegally sold guns that belonged to the Holland Massachussetts police force... who knows who was hurt by those guns women? children? innoccent people... didn't they say three of the guns are still missing? who's still be hurt by this mans actions...He got a bitch bid 2 years who gets that for illegal gun sales other than a ex-chief of police...?
