The driver of a gold 1999 Mitsubishi Galant led authorities on a high-speed chase Friday along a pair of Oklahoma turnpikes, covering more than 50 miles.

The chase started after a traffic stop in Stroud, police said. The driver, whose car has Missouri plates, stopped and then took off.
A police maneuver eventually ended the chase at Portland Avenue and Memorial Road at about 3:45 p.m.
Two people were arrested.
There were no injuries reported during the chase.
