    MARIETTA, Ga. --

A Marietta family is thankful after they were rescued from their burning van last week.

Two of the four members of the King family remained in Grady Hospital on Tuesday as a result of the fire on Interstate 75.

On Tuesday, police released an officer's dash cam video of the incident.

Family members said a tire blew; causing sparks which ignited a fire. The driver made it to the shoulder, but only two of the four people inside made it out at first.

"My door wouldn't open and I had to go through the front. My mom was in the front and I pushed her out," said daughter Stefanie King. "My sister was still in the van. My dad was trying to put out the flames."

On the video, sisters Stefanie and Michelle King can be heard screaming for police to help their mother. She's disabled, the sisters said, and can't walk. She was trapped between the flaming vehicle and the guard rail. Police are seen on the video pulling her to safety.

"I thank them for helping. I thank the Lord for getting them there," said the father, David King.

Everyone made it out alive. Stephanie only has a small cut. David, who is also disabled, managed to escape with second-degree burns on his arm.

Sister Michelle and their mother have more serious burns, but the Kings said they will recover.

Tuesday, the family asked to see the video from the rescue for the first time. But when the video started, Stefanie and her father couldn't bear reliving the experience.

    "I can't watch," she said.

Later, Stefanie offered thanks for the people who rescued them and for a higher power.

"We thank the Lord for them. We just thank the lord that he got us all out," she said.

    GEORGIA OFFICERS TO THE RESCUE
I join the kings family in thanking GOD for this wonderful miracle. I also appluad the georgia police officers for the prompt action and bravery exhibited. Police officers from other lands have a lot to learn from this. After watching the video, l cannot but praise the awesomeness of GOD.

Well deserved round of applause for these fine representatives of our chosen profession. Great work and kudos. I pray for a fast recovery of the King family.

On another note, I don't see SJANC here blaming the officers for starting the fire. It seems that he only wants to comment on the few cases where someone disgraces the badge.
