Chicago Police K-9 Goes AWOL Again

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the dog does it once then is found, wouldn't common sense dictate that the dog needs to be secured better in the yard? I'm not sure how he ran away this time, but more training, more secure yard or something.

Could be he is highly trained and talented, but quirky.

Instead of spending money on a computer chip, the department should put their money toward a GPS tracker/child locater (LoJack).

Hopefully Bear will be found alive and well once again. It may be time for Bear to retire. He probably is under too much stress for him to have taken off yet again. The computer chip is not a waste of money. All dog owners are encourage to do this with their dogs. K9s are just as important as their handlers and all LE brothers & sisters. Let's try to get Bear home then determine what's best for his future.

This is the one and only time I'm going to give you your extra 15 minutes of fame. I've had the displeasure of reading some of your comments here and among other stories you've commented on too.
You really need some major help and you're not going to find it within these stories or a la your comments. What does drug abuse or the lack there of have to do with this story about Bear? You can't even stick to the gist of a story. How sad, given your obvious dislike for law enforcement, you have nothing better to do with your time but spend it here and offer us your shortcomings. In fact, among your 4 comments here, none of them offer anything about the whereabouts of Bear. You know who he is? He's the reason this story was printed in the first place. While you've gone on about "how many cops can say that", well what they can and should say is "you're under arrest". The charge? Pure foolishness. While it's quite obvious you some how take pleasure in taunting the police and/or your name calling really shows most of us your true persona. That's not saying too much you understand? You might want to show some respect for LE as they may just save your sad, little life some day. On the other hand, maybe they won't. Either way you'd only have yourself to blame. While you're dolling out advice as to what LE should or shouldn't be doing here's some you: Get some professional help, get a life and find some friends (humans) not those in cyber space. And by the way, while you've gone out about the brownie matter, you've failed to mention the hundreds and hundreds of other stories about all of the good deeds LE has done all for little or no accolades at all. But then again, those kind LE people all are getting a good night's sleep knowing they've done their best. What do you have show for your day's work, wiping the foam from your mouth that's drooled on your pillow. Speaking of wiping your mouth, try some good soap to get that nastiness out of there. You're only hurting yourself.

What would you know about intelligence? There's nothing wrong with being gay/homosexual and it can't be changed even if one is. On the other hand, help for narcissism is only a phone call away. Back to the gist of the story about lost Bear, where did it mention he's a gay dog? Therefore, why all of the gay comments? It's not surprising that you feel you've been insulted, well too bad. I'm not going to argue that there are bad cops, but don't make it looks as if all LEO are the same.

There are bankers who steal money, but people don't go around saying that all bankers are bad. Have some logic. In any men made institution there will be those who make others look bad. For some reason this only is used on police officers. If one pollice officer is bad that means all of them are bad and you have have to go and post in each news article something that is against police.

I mean, I haven't gotten a single intelligent insult yet.
