expert commentary
I love all the commentary from the supposed experts. A criminologist and some ex-DEA guy to name a couple. Sharing their views on how a street cop should be acting or reacting is laughable. I'm sure DEA-man believes he could've handled that situation all by himself. Why not seek out the opinions of real experts, other street cops.

Justifiable
Last time i checked, we aren't prize fighters, MMA champs, or any other type of brawlers. We don't get paid to fight or a championship belts, or endorsements for that matter. It all boils down to who goes home at the end of their shift. I bet you no one else will decide to tussle with a Bart Police Officer, this isn't a game, there are no timeouts or breaks.

Wait for ALL the evidence
The video clearly doesn't look good, but as we've seen time and time again video's don't show everything. Especially a grainy video from a cell phone taken from inside of a train of action going on outside the train. The video is not enough to draw any conclusions. We can speculate all we want, but nobody can say for sure now what really happened. If I were to speculate I would say the theory that he thought he was going for his Taser is the most plausible, but I would add the disclaimer that this is only speculation and there could be other reasons this happened. One thing I can say with some confidence, is I'm pretty sure this officer simply did not decide to execute this suspect in cold blood in front of all those witnesses for no reason. That concept does not even make sense. There is clearly more to the story and I'm sure we'll learn exactly what happened when the investigation unfolds. If the Taser theory is true this would not be the first time that has happened.

When are police officers going to realize that most of the public is retarded. STOP WORKING SO HARD!!!! I say let these criminals run loose. DONT CHASE, DONT ARREST!!!, LET THE PUBLIC GET VICTIMIZED!!! Then when the public finally realizes that the cops were there to help them all along, then maybe, just maybe there will actually be justice for police officers who were just doing their job. Too many cop killers have walked loose recently and you guys are still trying to protect the public who stabs you in the back as the criminal is shooting at you from the front.

If the recordings showed a cop on his belly and being shot by a thug while two others were holding him down what would be the interperitation then? Would that shooting be an accident? Would that shooter go home without charges?

Maybe the suspect had a gun under him he was trying to pull out during the strugle with the police and the officer shot him before he was able to use the gun.

Maybe the officer over reacted and in the heat of the moment made a bad decision.

Or maybe it was an accident.

Thed fact is we dont know all the fatcs of the case and the video shown here does not show much detail. You cant see the hands or whats is going on up close.

So for you police haters. If you hate the Police so much WTF are you doing on this website. Go to one of your police hating sites and the next time someone wrecks into your car, steals from you, burglarizes your home or car......call someone else.

video
in response to Cop killer's remark....was the suspect black? I could not tell in such a small video. How exciting for the media and activist if he or she was. " this young man a criminal when he hadn't done anything" ... Not doing anything wrong ? ? ? how the hell would you know what was going on before the video was started?

The media and all the opinions should be the only things in the deepest hot fryer right now.

This is such a tragic incident for two young men; a tragic situation when specific communities of people should be working together helping each other. May the Ofcr. keep holding onto the the truth and may the victim's family instead start considering the living inferrno this young ofcr is going through, too. From the start, it has always appeared to be an accident, or something that made Ofcr think danger.

For starters, there is still time to consider "cancelling" the $25M further alienating lawsuit and really do what both of these young men's lives deserve in memory of a young 22 year old and in support of a human being who is a police officer.

To me, in theory, this story never was about a cold blooded anything. Two years in the force, training and reflexes to match--to me it appears he was clearly thinking taser .

Whatever the truth, may all facts and all quality evidence bring the benefit of peace in knowing to all.

You can forget about a trial. Johannes has will be going back to Germany soon if not there now.
