Hearing those complaints, police swept into the Pittsburgh, Metropolitan and McDaniel neighborhoods of Atlanta Thursday night.
Using both undercover and uniformed officers they were looking for prostitutes working the streets.
They found plenty of suspects hanging out on street corners and wandering the sidewalks.
"The city of Atlanta wants the community to feel safe and not have to worry when they come outside," said police spokeswoman Sgt. Lisa Keyes.
Officers said they arrested at least 15 people on prostitution and loitering charges.
Police said they plan more sweeps in the southwest Atlanta neighborhoods.
