ATLANTA
--
They were on top of the world, but police brought them back down to earth.
Officers arrested four men early Thursday, accusing then of climbing a towering crane at a Midtown Atlanta construction project.
The suspects drew a crowd after they allegedly clambered up the crane at the construction site at 219 12th Street, near Piedmont Park.
A security guard at a nearby condo complex called 911 after spotting the men on the crane.
A police helicopter trained a powerful spotlight on the climbers when it arrived on the scene.
Shortly after that the men worked their way back down the metal tower, were handcuffed and taken away in police cars.
Several were seen laughing and joking as they were driven off.
