I undersand speed enforcement to gain compliance with posted limits, but when you are projecting the revenue it seems like more of a money issue. Also, once you get compliance with the posted limits do you "dial down" the speed that activates the camera? As a police officer we trained to estimate to within 5 MPH, if you get compliance to 70 do you now change the threshold to 66 to keep up the revenue??

One of the dips#*t city councilmen in our city came out on the news and said the camers were to help prevent accidents and not a revenue issue. Then the idoit turned around and said it will bring in more revenue.

My question is, if the person driving isn't the owndr of the car, how can you make them pay the fine? I would also be curious to know what they do about out of state drivers that don't pay the ticket. Oh yes then there is the issue that officers go to court all the time on tickets, how do you take the camera to court and challange it?

I think it's wrong but then I didn't invent them and I'm not the one making money off of them.

not about revenue eh!
They said it wasnt about the money my @$$ they projected they would be making $90 million in revenue in the 1st year. Problem 1: most odometers can by be off by as much as 10% 2. Cameras will most likey be placed in areas where you more prone to speed e.g down hill for optimal revenue 3. Dont worry camera's will be in place just in time when ppl save for turkey & xmas holidays when ppl are naturally in a rush, seasons greetings. o\/o
p.s did i mention they dont tell you where they are you have to find out the hard way for the next 2 months if you still have money by then.
