Sounds like he was on to something. Pretty ballsy to take you right out of the office. A seasoned investigator let someone he considered a threat that close?????????? It all sounds a little fishy, I'm sure we'll be getting the rest of this story in the hopefully near future. Prayers to the family!

All things are possible. He also could have been interviewing a CI (confidential informant) and got into an altercation with him/her/them.Although it is not common practice, at least around here, to meet with a CI alone.

My prayers go out to the officer and his family. I pray for a good outcome.

The jerk stole money and fled to Vegas. He staged the office to look like a struggle. He has been arrested and is in custody in NV. Another a-hole tarnishing the badge.

He was found and arrested for staging the incident, ran off with a girl to LV. Time to go to jail.
