Susan Keppy is an ordained Episcopal priest, serving in parish ministry since 1981. She has served as a chaplain with the Lewiston, NY Police Department and the Niagara Interfaith Chaplaincy since 1999, and has done some training for the Buffalo Police Department. She is a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains, the Canadian Police Chaplains Association, and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.

Good article, it could be apply to the rest of American society since too many people are tied to their jobs and when they retired, they have nothing to fall back on in terms of having friends, hobbies, spending time with their grown up children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren, etc.

Unfortunately, American management doesn't not give its workers generous sick and vacation leave compare to that of Europe to enjoy what life has to offer. In addition, American managers transfers all their stress onto the rest of the workforce, so the greatest stress level is at the rank and file.
