Chaplain Leo Connolly has been a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains since 1985 and has served in law enforcement chaplaincy since 1984, with various departments in central and southern Ohio, including his present ministry at the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office. He currently serves as chair of the ICPC Credentials Committee, as a member of the Central Ohio Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Team, as a member of the Mid-Ohio CISM Team, and as a member of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association Chaplains' Committee. In 2003, Chaplain Connolly received the Jack Price Award for Excellency in Chaplaincy Award. In 2004, Chaplain Connolly received a Master Credentials Certificate at the ICPC Annual Training Seminar in St. Louis, Missouri.
Chaplain Connolly responded with many other chaplains to assist the New York and New Jersey Port Authority Police Department in the aftermath of the World Trade Center disaster. He also responded with nine other chaplains to assist the Houston Police Department at the Astrodome and Reliant Center in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
Chaplain Connolly has taken Basic and Advanced Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Pastoral Crisis Intervention courses offered by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
