Should give the POS the needle, but oh well I guess.

Nothing is going to bring back this young officer, father, husband, friend and son. Rest in Peace, Officer Bessant. You did your best and finest in dealing with this #1 societal problem: youth and gangs. RIP.

It sure is awesome that the United States Supreme Court is able to tell the states that they can't stick a needle in the arm of trash like this.

Prisons should adopt supermax policies with offenders like this. Let his enhanced "status" with his gang benefit him in solitary confinement 23-hours a day.

well, now that the dems practically have total control, I'm sure you'll see much more lenient sentences.

"Taeotui, who was 16 at the time of the shooting, could face up to life in prison without parole..."

could? He should get that at least, if not death. He will be though of as a hero by his fellow scumbags in prison anyway.

Damn shame 'ole Peni was allowed to surrender....he was bought and paid for when he fired the shot. Hopefully, he will find himself at the center of a prison "love triangle" with his fellow inmates.

Rest in peace brother, my sympathies are with your family and brother officers. As to the gang community, we will find you, track you down and put you away. Charge the pos as an adult and take his life. All gang related crimes and membership in gangs should be felonies.

This young citizen should definitely be charged as an adult. There was no meaning to purposely take away an officers life just because he wanted to have high standings in a gang. This officer had a wife, and a 2-month old son. Obviously that did not mean anything to the young man who killed this officer. The other gang member that helped Taeotui commit this act should be charged as well. This crime is very disturbing and should have action taken towards it. No one in their right mind should think that its okay to commit these kinds of felonies and get away with it.
