But Weingartner said he hoped Thursday's stakeout would have ended differently, with the suspect landing in jail instead of being shot.

Rest in Peace Brother, my prayers go out to his family both at home and at work.

I also wish things would have ended differently, the suspect being shot and the Deputy going home to his family.

Sgt Harris
I have personally known Sgt Harris for over 20 yrs. He was my Dare officer. He was a great man who got into law enforcement for the right reason he truely wanted to help people. It is a great loss to this community. He will be missed by everyone. He was a true hero.
