Mississippi Deputy Dies in Crash

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. --

A Warren County sheriff's deputy died after an early Sunday morning car wreck.

The Warren County Sheriff's Department said it was after midnight when Deputy Tom Wilson was responding to a 911 call.

Wilson hit a pocket of water and hydroplaned on U.S. 61 South, just north of the Carpenters Union Hall, police said.

He had been a law enforcement officer for more than 17 years, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Funeral Information:

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bowmar Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry White and James Busby officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park Cemetery with full honors.

Visitation will be at Bowmar Baptist Church from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service.

I miss you Tom!
Tom Wilson was an outstanding law enforcement officer who can never be replaced. I looked up to Tom in so many ways and thank God for being able to say I knew him. I Miss you Tom!

Rest in Peace my Brother, your new duty assignment is guarding the streets of Heaven and watching over all thats below and be with your loved one and by their sides always.
