Jones was a trustee who did custodian work cleaning the Burke County Sheriff's Office in Georgia. According to the Sherriff's Deptartment, Jones walked away from a work detail three weeks ago.
Jones was arrested in Georgia on July 26, 2008, on numerous charges including bringing a stolen vehicle into the state, terroristic threats and acts, obstructing and hindering a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence, giving a false name to an officer, no driver's license and unlawful use of a license plate.
Jones will now be charged with escape after he's sent back to Georgia from Charlotte.
