DULZURA, Calif.
--
Agents with the Border Patrol said they've arrested a man wanted on suspicion of felony sex offenses in Colorado.
The 36-year-old Mexican national was taken into custody in Dulzura, shortly before midnight on Tuesday.
Agents said they encountered the man while he was trekking with 14 other suspected illegal immigrants in the mountainous region near the border. His felony warrant was discovered upon a review of his criminal history and was confirmed by Colorado law enforcement, officials said.
The man was being held by the San Diego Sheriffs Department pending extradition to Colorado.
