MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio --

Police shut down an alleged methamphetamine lab Wednesday in the Darrtown area of Milford Township.

Officers said they executed a search warrant and discovered the operation in a camper parked in the 4200 block of West Street.

Emily Lawson, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, and police removed two children younger than 10 years old from the residence and placed them in the custody of Butler County Children’s Services.

Police are looking for Vernon “Michael” Perry, 35, who was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, assembly of chemicals for manufacturing methamphetamine, and possession of drugs.

Nicholas Simpson, 23, was at the camper when deputies arrived, and authorities said they learned he had been having a sexual relationship for more than a year with a 14-year-old girl who frequented the residence.

Simpson was arrested and charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor.

Firefighters and a Butler County emergency services unit tore down the methamphetamine lab and cleaned up the area, authorities said.
