More often than not, law enforcement professionals patrol by themselves alone in their patrol vehicles.

More often than not, law enforcement professionals patrol by themselves... alone... in their patrol vehicle.  While television may have made popular the notion that every patrol car has two officers in it, most of us deal with the reality that it just ain't so.  And, far too often, those patrolling alone are also waiting a substantial amount of time for back up.  What do you do?  Here are a few words of advice.
