FINDAR

March 16, 2015

Law enforcement around the world is adopting FINDAR as a necessary investigative tool. FINDAR uses ground penetrating radar (GPR) to allow military, police, and security forces to locate evidence under soil, behind brick or concrete walls, wooden floors or in hidden compartments. The portability and flexibility of the equipment, as well as the real time visualization, offers an excellent solution providing police with results. Sensors & Software has supplied this technology to groups in Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. Recently the company won a tender to supply GPR to the Department of National Defense in Canada. GPR can provide powerful insight to forensics specialists trying to locate buried bodies, caches of drugs, weapons or tunnels. This technology can aid in ruling out suspect areas in minutes. In recent months Sensors & Software’s technology allowed police to locate a clandestine grave in Sweden. The body of the 63 year old was buried over 5-feet deep and was in the ground for 2 years before police made the discovery.
