The 200E follows the 200M mechanical version, which was released in November ‘14 for both the Handgun and the Shotgun Models. Much like the 200M, the 200E boasts additional key features that elevate this lock over other electromechanical locks in this category. Key components include: A key override (with 3 keys provided), a tamper proof lock clutch mechanism, increased 10-digit combinations (1.2 million), reprogrammable operation directly from the face of the lock, sleek and efficient 5-button function, low battery indicator and an emergency battery backup feature which can be used to temporarily power the unit back on allowing you to use your combination to open the ShotLock and change the internal batteries in case you ignored it’s warnings.
The electromechanical locks have been in development for over a year, and were designed specifically for the ShotLock product.
