Advanced Combat Helmet Light (ACHL)

The Advanced Combat Helmet Light (ACHL) is a tactical lightweight, center-mounted, multiple-output helmet light that features four white LEDs, two red LEDs, one blue lens and a blackout cover. The white primary LEDs are ideal for general-purpose, center-mounted, immediate work area illumination. The red secondary LEDs provide center- mounted illumination without producing a large light signature. The blue lens provides the ability to transform the white light into a useful blue light required by medical personnel. The blackout cover slides into place to adjust the amount of light used, or to eliminate it entirely, ensuring no light is inadvertently released.

Features

The ACHL features a durable, watertight polymer body. The light quickly and easily attaches to any Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) and Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH) via an included centrally located mount. Once the mount has been attached to your tactical helmet the ACHL easily slides on and locks securely in place, enabling the variable light to rotate 360 degrees. By removing the battery cap the light unit smoothly slides out of the mount allowing quick removal for servicing or transfer on to the included headband. The durable and lightweight headband provides a dual use of the ACHL unit, eliminating the need to purchase a separate quick-use headlamp.

Knowing that ounces make pounds and pounds make pain, the ACHL was designed with the service member in mind. The weight of the ACHL including battery is only 1.25 oz compared to other helmet lights that range from 3.01 oz to 4 oz. The primary white LEDs are powered by a CR2 3V battery and produce 35.2 lumens with a runtime of 8.9 hours compared to other helmet lights that produce only 19.2 lumens. The ACHL also produces 6.2 lumens of red flood light with a runtime of 25.6 hours.
