ANVIS SOCOM Helmet Mount

Feb. 10, 2014

The SOCOM is an extremely rugged ANVIS helmet mount constructed from solid blocks of Aluminum and tough self-lubricating Delrin. The main Frame of the SOCOM is CNC Machined from a single block of Aluminum giving it superior strength.  The external wires are a tough braided shielded cable that anchors to the frame.  This keeps the wires from being pulled from the mount.  It has an onboard microcontroller for S.M.A.R.T: Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology that monitor voltage going into the ANVIS and sends a signal to the red LED when battery voltage becomes low.  The LED’s output is coupled to the Optical Stealth technology to ensure only the operator sees this warning and that it can’t be seen by anyone else.  The SOCOM uses an RF shunt across its internal battery bus that protects the ANVIS’s electronics as well as the SOCOM’s electronics from stray voltages produced in Radio and RADAR fields.
