GammaTech announced the newest member of its Durabook line of rugged mobile computers--the semi-rugged S15H notebook. Designed to fill a need for 15-inch monitors in the marketplace, the S15H provides a cost-effective solution that eliminates the need and expense of modifying how legacy systems display. It is tested to Military 810G standards, which ensures it's drop-, shock- and spill-resistant. Other rugged features include an exclusive optical disk-tray lock, double-protection smart battery circuitry and smart battery calibration.
The S15H comes with the Intel Haswell CPU so users can expect faster computing and graphics, and a longer battery life in a sleek form factor. It features a 15.6-inch full high-definition LED display and two dual-channel DDR III SODIMM slots that provide up to 16GB of memory capacity. With inclusion of nVidia Optimus technology and Intel integrated graphics controller, it providessuperior high-res graphics. To provide flexibility, the S15H is built with a USB 3.0 connector, integrated 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and wireless LAN network connection. Security is of paramount importance and the S15H includes multiple security features such as TPM 1.2 technology, a Kensington Lock connector and administrator password/Boot password.
