ArmorTip Puncture Protective Glove (Model PPG2)

HATCH announced  the introduction of the Model PPG2 ArmorTip Puncture Protective Glove, an improved cut-resistant protective glove with a Spectra cut-resistant liner and Kevlar material in the fingertips. These puncture-resistant and ergonomically friendly gloves protect the wearer from potentially deadly needle sticks and cuts while keeping the much needed flexibility for maximum performance.

Test results using ASTM F1342 – 05 Standard Test Method for Protective Clothing Material Resistance to Puncture showed a 53 percent improvement in puncture resistance over materials used in the PPG1. The Model PPG2 ArmorTip Glove has also been tested for puncture resistance under the CE EN 388 standards, one of the industry’s most rigorous quality and safety certification tests. The voluntary CE EN 388 certification tests, created by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), are one of the world’s most comprehensive measures of performance in a variety of applications, including resistance to cuts, punctures, tears and abrasion. The puncture rating for the Model PPG2 fingertip is level 4 on a scale of 1-5, where 5 represents the highest rating.

The ArmorTip Model PPG2 features a neoprene and spandex laminate fabric construction for excellent air circulation and a synthetic leather palm with a Spectra® blend liner. This design offers optimum puncture protection along the leading edges of the fingertips and cut protection on the palm of the hand. The wrist-length glove features a hook and loop closure to provide a snug fit.

The ArmorTip Puncture Protective Glove is available now in sizes XS-XXXL and has an MSRP of $60.00.
