Pro-gard Products, LLC is offering a new Prisoner Partition solution for agencies with its Space Saver Plus Partition.
Fleet managers are constantly faced with the decision of who to offer the most leg room to when installing prisoner transport partitions, the driver/officer or the prisoner. This partition offers the driver the same full range leg room as our Universal Partitions without compromising leg room for the prisoner.
Pro-gard accomplishes this feat with the addition of a curvature to the support roll bar that angles back, towards the passenger seat, providing several more inches of space for prisoner’s knees and legs. They’ve also added a one-of-a kind knock-out in the foot area encompasses the space while offering several additional inches for prisoner’s feet.
The Space Saver Plus has been designed so that it mounts in the same manner as the Pro-Gard Universal Partition, meaning installers won’t have to learn a new method of installation, keeping install times quick and efficient which, isn’t always the case with new, unfamiliar products.
The curvature of the roll bar and our partition B-Pillar mounting style also give officers a helping hand when loading the prisoner into the rear seat. By mounting on the side of the B-Pillar and not the floor, the design eliminates an area that can otherwise be used as a counter leverage point by prisoners at the base of the partition.
Currently the Space Saver Plus Partition is being offered for the Dodge Charger.
