Maveric contains a forward-looking camera in the nose of the aircraft and an interchangeable pod in the stomach of the aircraft.
The gimbaled electro-optical camera is an analog output video device mounted in a rugged carbon fiber enclosure which provides 360 degrees of coverage for the operator and can transmit georectified imagery to the ground.

Each storage tube contains a fully assembled aircraft. The storage tubes are made with water-resistant fabric and Molle-compatible straps and buckles. Each storage tube has a shoulder strap and includes two pockets.
All components are stored in custom foam cutouts for protection.
The ground control station consists of a rugged Panasonic Toughbook laptop, hub box, radio frequency (RF) box, tripod, cables and a hand-held controller.
In addition to video stabilization, screen capture and image mosaicing, the Pro version of TerraScope includes advanced precision target tracking, video recording and geolocation of tracked targets.
The repair kit contains replacement parts and tools used for typical field repairs.

Maveric represents state-of-the-art technology. It utilizes an embedded processing platform called Merlin. The Merlin platform allows images and vision-based control to be processed onboard the UAS and reduces reliance on ground station communication. Merlin enables image stabilization and recording, digital zoom and collision detection. Maveric’s unique airframe design and advanced sensors, combined with the Merlin technology, gives Maveric the ability to operate effectively in complex environments.
