Sig Sauer introduces four new models of the SIGM400 direct impingement AR-platform rifle system. In addition to the classic model that is currently on the market, Sig Sauer will be offering new enhanced versions, including a sight-ready platform, a short-barrel version, as well as a hunting model. Built with the same style lower as the SIG516, the SIGM400 offers operators ambidextrous operating controls, integral quick-detach sling swivel mounts, and a built-in tensioning device between the upper and lower receivers to maximize accuracy. Chrome-lined barrels keep cleaning to a minimum and increase operational life. The SIGM400 Classic (shown) features a detachable carry handle with A2 rear sight, carbine handguards, an “F”-marked front sight base, and a six-position Mil-Spec carbine buttstock. The SIGM400 Enhanced models feature flip-up rear sights, Magpul MOE handguards, buttstocks and pistol grips. Three versions are available with either black, Olive Drab (OD) or Flat Dark Earth (FDE). The SIGM400 Enhanced FDE also features a Cerakote finish to match the Magpul MOE products.
